Projects: Past & Present

Somerville Police Station (2015) Value: $9 Million

The development of a Somerville Police Station is a Victorian Government initiative which is the construction of a functional, modern and flexible police station. It was our responsibility to design and implent a bullet-proof weapons storage facility incorporating a secured weapons storage unit. We also designed and installed curved glass balustrading, encompassed by 50mm stainless steel tube. The project was a success, with exceptional quality and strict timelines met.

Edithvale Community Centre (2014) Value: $6.5 Million

The Edithvale Family & Children’s Centre provides first class community facilities and indoor / outdoor education environments for the community of the City of Kingston. Our project objectives were to provide a visually stunning enclosure system, to ensure the safety of parents and children and providing height safety access with our custom galvanized balustrade and handrail systems.

Bendigo Library (2013) Value: $7.8 Million

Bremic, in collaboration with Locker Group and MGS Architects designed and implemented wall, annex and stair sheeting at Bendigo City Councils prestigious Library. The project won the 2014 Dulux Color Awards, The Australian Institute of Architects Public Architecture (alterations and additions) award and the Regional Prize award.

Bendigo Theatre (2013) Value: $25.8Million

The Ulumbarra Theatre is a special project for Bendigo, not only because it will be one of the largest theatres in regional Australia, but also because it rises from the walls of the historic Sandhurst Gaol. Due to our reputation for excellent quality, attention to detail and fast turnover time, Bremic Engineering was selected to take part in this historic project. Stainless steel handrails, glass balustrades, custom floor viewing panes, stainless steel mesh panelling and powdercoated cladding panels were some of the items on the building we were entrusted with. The project has been completed, and is now fully operational.

Kensington Town Hall (2015) Value: $4.8Million

Kensington Town Hall is a former municipal hall in Kensington, Victoria, Australia. The classical style building, located in Bellair Street was first constructed in 1901. During World War II it was used as a command post. It served as a legal centre in the 1980s. It is heritage listed and currently operates as a community centre, dance and ballet school. The building has been restored, with work done to preserve the facade and foundations of the building. The restored building was officially reopened by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle on February 28 2015, after a $4.8 million renovation. It was our responsibility to design and install, custom hand crafted brass hand railing on the entry stair and various other indoor locations.

Williamstown Library (2012) Value: $8.5Million

The architecture of the new Williamstown Library is inspired by the qualities and interaction of the natural and constructed landscape of historic Williamstown where the fluid, ever changing waters of the bay are juxtaposed against the rigidity and permanence of sea walls and buildings of the foreshore. It was Bremic Engineerings role to design and install stunning architectural metalwork to abide by and reflect this scenic and historic location..

Northway Honda (2010) Value: $11.5Million

Northway Honda was very unique in terms of its engineering and architecture. The building was designed primarily with unobstructed vision in mind as it is a vehicle showcasing dealership. Bremic were enlisted to install stunning stainless steel handrail on the curved staircase running to its second level, which joins on to our glass balustrade and stainless steel post system. Various other structural and archtectural metal work peices were installed to complement the large glass front, including steel awnings. .
